Why a Cobra?
From the time I was seventeen I wanted a Bolwell Nagari. When I turned eighteen the insurance company said yes but with the cost of the premium I could have wall papered my room with dollar bills. Over the years I looked at a few Nigari’s but they were either Australia’s most expensive car or most expensive wreck. Then one day on the Monash Freeway Lillian spied a Cobra and said “that is a nice looking car”. There began my research into which Cobra to build.
What have you done to the car?
Since registration I have only mad a few changes. The seats that I had for registration were comfortable enough but, because I am no lightweight I needed seats that gave me more room. The new seats allow me to sit lower and a little farther back.
Also a much more free flowing exhaust system has been added. More recently new springs all round. The car now rides a little softer over harsh surfaces.
A soft top for the few times the weather hasn’t been kind.
Side pipes (added bling)
A cold air intake could be the next modification
What do you like doing with your car the most?
Simply driving it. I really enjoy the open air environment.
Club display days are often interesting.
We also like doing club runs. The Alpine run is brilliant, and the Bellarine run is a favourite as we like to stay a couple of extra days after the event to enjoy the delights the Bellarine Peninsula has to offer.
