This event was aimed at raising club member awareness of the 25th Cobra Nationals to be held in September at Wakefield Park in Goulburn.

Despite very heavy rain which kept all but two Cobras away we had a healthy turn out of about 25 members at Theo's factory.
The factory ( still a work in progress ) looked great with significant interest in Theo's hoists and workshop setup and in particular the Sunbeam Tiger.

General discussion amongst attendees included the usual topics of engines, tyres and reports on various member repairs and projects. We watched the rain whist enjoying a great BBQ lunch with a few cold drinks.

Contact any of the Committee if you have questions regarding the Nationals. We are trying to get 25 cars from Victoria this year to make the 25th annual event one to remember.

Thanks to Theo for his hospitality.

Bellarine Peninsula Cruise 2018

It seems the second Sunday in February attracts rain, but not as much as last year! Fortunately we only experienced a little drizzle upon leaving the Westgate freeway service centre at Todd Road.

Grey skies threatened on our way to Geelong and views to the You Yangs were a bit hazy. We were soon in Geelong for a very welcome coffee and some warmth at the Little Creatures Brewery in the former 1920s Valley Worsted Mill an Art Deco era textiles mill complex.

From Geelong we proceeded with about 25 cars to the Barwon Heads Road on towards Thirteenth Beach along the coast road, through Barwon Heads (much to the joy of some locals positioned at the roundabout near the bridge) and on to Ocean Grove , Point Lonsdale and finally arrived in Queenscliff for a great photo at the historic fort. A relaxed lunch followed at the Queenscliff Brewhouse.

Club members made their way back to Melbourne, some taking the ferry to Sorrento for a homeward run up the Mornington Peninsula in the afternoon sun. A great day out!

Thanks to Dale for organising the venues and route.
