A lovely Summer's evening saw the club meet up for the traditional informal January cruise and meet. Anglers Tavern in Maribyrnong was the place for the second year running, such a lovely spot by the river and a nice chance to a cruise over to this great watering hole. Cruising home over the Bolte bridge in the open-top Cobra with the sun-setting pink-sky and great Melbourne town was just fantastic.

| CCCV Christmas Party 2017
Despite an unseasonal weekend of extreme rainfall in most parts of Melbourne, CCCV members were not deterred from attending this years Christmas party at Charles and Julie's home in Frankston South. Their home and gracious hospitality ( including a roaring open fire to keep us warm ) was perfect for the group gathered to reflect on the past year, catch up on some stories, and acknowledge the efforts and contribution of members participating in various events in the year that has been 2017. Santa magically appeared with a bag of gifts for the children and did a great job. Sadly the persistent rain showers resulted in only one enthusiast driving his Cobra. Thanks to the organisers, caterers and Charles and Julie for a very pleasant afternoon. Andrew
