A glorious evening resulted in about 25 Cobras coming along to the informal January meeting at Anglers Tavern in Maribyrnong. Good food, cold beer, great company and unbelievable weather for Cobra cruising meant a fantastic time was had by all.

| Despite a weather forecast for little to no rain and nothing showing on the weather radar , most of us left home in drizzle to meet up at the BP service centre on Peninsula Link at Baxter. About 26 Cobras and the keen drivers and passengers assembled for a 9.00 am departure after a briefing and distribution of a map and written directions for each car .
We proceeded on Peninsula Link and the Mornington Peninsula freeway to the Redhill turn off through the back of Dromana and up the front of Arthur's Seat witnessing the new Eagle chairlift . We continued on to Main Ridge along Main Creek Road , to Shands Road past the strawberry farm and doubled back through Redhill witnessing spectacular scenery in its Spring splendour all the way to Shoreham and the road to Flinders which provided stunning views to Western Port Bay . Flinders Bakery kindly provided morning coffee . We added another Cobra to our group and despite more drizzle headed to Cape Schank via the corkscrew , on to Boneo and St Andrews Beach then through to Rye and along Point Nepean Road to Sorrento . Some of us had a quick look at the Portsea Ocean beach too . The sun came out when we arrived at Sorrento and we lined up all the Cobras to the delight of the locals and tourists. The spectacular Hotel Sorrento provided us with a fine lunch in the Terrace and drinks in the Salt Bar with a view to the blue waters of Port Phillip Bay. A great drive for those who attended . Thanks to Rob and Myles at Hotel Sorrento for their great hospitality again . Andrew
