| Challenge Supporting Kids with Cancer at Sandown Racecourse |

| Several of our members gave up their time and helped bring some smiles to faces of some important kids, at the Challenge Cancer day at Sandown.
A note we have received from the organisers; Hi Guys, I just wanted to send you an email to extend my gratitude for your involvement and participation in our annual Challenge Christmas Party this year. It was quite humbling for me personally to be wandering around the event on the day and seeing all of the smiles on the faces of the kids and especially seeing their parents with their kids and being able to enjoy the day and experience as a family, Without you so generously donating your time and good will to this event those smiles wouldn’t happen, and while we can’t gauge or grasp the true significance of days and events like these for these families you need only to go to our Facebook page and look at the video, photos, comments and visitor posts from the families to grasp just how positively the day impacts these families; for many of them it is their only chance to celebrate Christmas as an entire family Here is just one of many of the thank you emails we have received already this week that I would like to share: “Hi Team Challenge, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for such an amazing time at the Christmas party we still can’t wipe the smiles off our faces This Saturday was such a special day made easy by the amazing volunteers and all the work you all do. We had a great time and it feels like such a comfortable and safe space. Knowing that we all share something in common helps us to feel like we don't stand out and have additional needs because those needs are already considered. It's just so lovely and we are so grateful for everything you do, words are not enough. You have and continue to change our entire families’ lives for the better every time we interact with Challenge.” Your continued support of Challenge and our events cannot be underestimated and we are extremely lucky to be involved with you Until next time! | Breakfast in Healesville - October 15th 2016 |

| For a change from our regular venues, a Saturday breakfast was planned at the Beechworth Bakery in Healesville. This quaint country town sits low in the Yarra Valley at the base of a mountain range and provides a number of scenic drive options to get there .
The sunny mild morning showcased the spring growth on hectares of grape vines against the backdrop of the hills of the Toolangi Ranges. Ideal Cobra driving conditions followed by an enjoyable breakfast and multiple options for the homeward journey. Thanks to John for the venue suggestion.     |
