| Fuel magazine has found its way to my coffee table after my son Todd left a copy there.
On flicking through this interesting magazine that is a mix of street machines, Classic cars, Sleds, Cafe racer motorcycles, Rat Rods and tattooed women, I found their Cars and Coffee date was Saturday at 8am in Fennel Street Port Melbourne. Fantastic I would head up prior to our monthly shed run. With our shed run on at a Roaring Forties to check out their latest GT40's followed by a visit to McDonald Brothers Racing it was ideal to start the day with a coffee, breakfast and my fill of Cafe Racers, Street machines and tattooed young women - with nearly as many tattooed women as bikes and cars. The Fuel Cars and coffee and breakfast is a really a neat mix of everything from classic old Porsches, Cafe Racer bikes, VW Kombi's to Rat Rods. I did mention tattooed women didn't I? Located in the midst of Port Melbourne's factory district there's tons of parking and it's quite a surprise to find this trio of three shops with fifties clothing, men's hairdressing and a trendy cafe making up the mix. Fuel magazine had quite a large display of their books, magazines and other memorabilia. The low rider car, Classics, Cafe motorbike and tattoo culture is strong within the Fuel magazine followers. A friendly and interesting group whom welcomed me and appreciated my Cobra. Well worth keeping an eye out for their next event. In the interim, I think it would make a great Saturday morning breakfast run to Fennel Street. On leaving Cars and Coffee I noticed a 1970 Rolls Royce turn into Fennel Street with two young girls on board, noticing their tattooed arms and slick backed hair, I realised that Fuel Magazines Cars and Coffee does certainly attract an interesting mix of car and bike enthusiasts.
